David Kent is the perfect Buyer’s Agent. To me he is the Ray Donovan of home buying! He is “a fixer!” My husband and I have lived in the same house for 30 years and began the slightly traumatic process of considering a move to a condominium. For years, every time an appropriate listing would come available, he would patiently take us there, giving his expert insight on what was wrong or right about a site. We had total confidence in his ability to spot issues because in another life he was a general contractor. Finally, the day came when our perfect condo opened up. David walked us through every step of the way. I had a million questions. David was never to busy to answer every one of them. When I couldn’t get an answer from an agency or encountered a roadblock of any kind, David would say, “Don’t worry….I’ll take care of that…” And he did. No detail or issue was to big or to small for him to help me with till the issue was resolved. I am grateful for his calm, reassuring manner and expertise in every aspect of the home buying process. My only sadness is he can’t be the agent to sell our house. Any prospective home buyer would be blessed beyond measure to have David Kent as their agent.

We cannot say enough good things about David! Our family moved from Seattle to Charleston and he made what could be extremely stressful process, a lot of fun. We had very little notice to make a trip to to Charleston to look for a house. David was able to work with our schedule to ensure we felt confident and educated that our decision was the right one for us. We decided to build a home and from the very start David was beside us making sure we understood the processes, scheduling and necessary inspections. For the next 5 months while we were 3,000 miles away, David played a huge role in ensuring our house was progressing as planned and helping us overcome any issues to ensure we closed on time. As a former home builder, David knows what to look for in homes whether they are new builds or existing homes. As we viewed the multiple homes in the area before making our decision, David would walk us through each house and show us his concerns with each house. His attention to detail in the home-building process was something we didn’t expect but greatly appreciated, especially as first time homebuyers. As a testament to David’s professionalism and dedication, he also provided recommendations for a loan officer, home insurance, and inspectors. Every person he recommended was very professional and provided competitive services. The home inspector caught a major code violation that was missed by both the builder and city inspector. Our builder even commented on what a great realtor he was! David went above and beyond to advocate for our family’s wishes and make sure we weren’t just getting a pretty house, but a home we could envision raising our son in. As we drove away from closing on the home, my wife commented that if there was one thing we did right it was hiring David and his team. If I had to go back and do this over again, my first and only call would be to David again. If you are relocating to Charleston or already in the area, look no further than David Kent - HE IS THE BEST!

David helped my wife and I with our out of state move, and I could not be more thankful for having him on our side. Looking back, we were clueless about the home buying process, and the local area. He listened to us first, and truly took the time to understand our needs. From the first phone call to the closing, everything was flawless and I would truly recommend him to anybody looking for an honest agent to handle the whole process. I could keep going, but give him and call and find out for yourself.

Home buying is a high value but infrequent decision. To make our big decision we had high expectations on agent service and truly wanted a consultant for our relocation to Charleston. There are the sites online and then there are insights that only a seasoned local professional can provide. In discussing our needs a friend recommended David Kent who only represents buyers. David over delivered on those expectations with phenomenal service and helped us find our new home in the Old Village. Here are the things we loved: -Incredible market expertise from 23 years of experience -Provides buyer guidance and anticipates needs -Great communicator and negotiator -Attention to details Selecting David Kent is an investment in buying the perfect home for your situation. Had we not selected the right agent we would have made mistakes during our process. Thank you David for the professionalism and friendship.
