Sealbrook Island is a small town and barrier island in Charleston County, South Carolina, the community and island are part of the Charleston-North Charleston-Summerville metropolitan area. It is a coastal community situated on a cozy barrier island. The town has a single neighborhood and is the 158th largest community in the state. It is obviously a nautical community with strong ties to the ocean around it and a rich maritime history. The island has an active Turtle Patrol, a trained group of volunteers that records and monitors loggerhead turtle nests, guards against predators, moves endangered nets and records hatchings. The community has two golf courses, a racquet ball club, Han Tru tennis courts, pickle ball courts, swimming pools, an equine center and more.
